As a creative Fitz’s career has spanned multiple disciplines. She’s an award-winning Director in the scripted and unscripted spaces, Feature Filmmaker in the documentary space, as well as a writer/director/producer in the commercial, and digital spaces.
Recently Fitz directed Season 1 of the new hi-tech series ONE PERFECT SHOT for HBO MAX. Created and hosted by Ava DuVernay, this show celebrates a first-ever hybrid scripted and unscripted format using augmented reality. Fitz worked with designers to create an AR world, allowing iconic directors to uniquely step into their own movies for an exclusive viewer experience. The series features directors Michael Mann (HEAT), Aaron Sorkin (Trial Chi 7), Malcolm Lee (Girls Trip), Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman), Kasi Lemmons (Harriet), and Jon Chu (Crazy Rich Asians).
Additionally, in the TV space, Fitz’s scripted episodic directing debut was on the award-winning series QUEEN SUGAR (OWN Network).
Her latest award-winning feature documentary JEWEL’S CATCH ONE, released on Netflix, was highlighted on the streamer’s curated Black Lives Matter list as one of the top 10 films to watch. The film celebrates the life of the owner of the oldest Black-owned disco in America, Jewel Thais-Williams, and the powerful LGBTQ activism that grew from her unique safe space. The feature won multiple Jury and Best Documentary awards and screened internationally.
In her digital and commercial broadcast career spanning over 1500 projects, Fitz has been a creative, director and producer on award-winning commercials and international branded content campaigns. She’s won (4) Webby Awards working as a creative producer with clients such as Disney and Qualcomm. Additionally, Fitz has conceptualized, strategized, and produced numerous internationally broadcasted commercials and social media marketing campaigns with clients HBO, Pepsi, AT&T, Ford, Red Bull Racing, Sharon Stone, and Showtime to name a few.
Fitz lives in Los Angeles and enjoys creating content that shines a light on marginalized communities and our own backyard heroes.

Fitz directed a Lexus campaign for the @ItGetsBetter Project, shining a light on love, visibility, and acceptance for the LGBTQ+ community which successfully garnered over 2 million viewers.
Fitz directed the national advertising campaign for City National Bank airing on NBC, MSNBC, and affiliate channels celebrating extraordinary business owners.
In her early days, Fitz worked her way up through the production ranks of advertising and funded her first directorial works by producing commercials. It was there she met Michael Williams and David Collins who asked her to come on board the development and producing teams for an unscripted show they were pitching. Their pitch turned into a green-light for a pilot for the ground-breaking Bravo series, QUEER EYE. Her next venture into unscripted was working with Collins and Williams on their second series where she developed and eventually show ran 104 episodes of the YA make-over show for ABC Family and Disney called KNOCK FIRST. Her follow-up was co-creating, directing and showrunning the fashion series XCESS/ACCESS. Additionally, Fitz has directed multiple award-winning scripted shorts, commercials, and feature documentaries.
