Jonathan Fernandez has written, produced, and directed film and television scripts including ROB THE MOB, BREAKDOWN, and STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE. The New York Times called his writing “undeniably entertaining” and the New York Post said ROB THE MOB was a “hilarious mob comedy.”
Fernandez began his film career working for legendary producer Roger Corman where he was President of New Horizon Films. Fernandez went on to run production for Dino De Laurentiis where he worked on projects including The Wachowski’s debut feature “Bound” and John Dahl’s film UNFORGETTABLE. Fernandez has written scripts for James Gandolfini, Jeremy Allen White, Ray Romano, Andy Garcia, and Nina Arianda.
Fernandez has taught advanced screenwriting at AFI and has been a mentor at Cinestory. A former reporter for the Associated Press based in Buenos Aires, Fernandez has traveled extensively throughout Latin America including a trip through the Amazon with his family that was covered in the Wall St. Journal and the L.A. Times. Fernandez graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University where he was the president of the Harvard Lampoon.
