Kelly Overton

Biography

Kelly Overton is best known for her roles as a series regular on HBO’s TRUE BLOOD and as the lead of Syfy’s VAN HELSING, where she also served as an executive producer. These roles showcase her tremendous range, from fierce, action-driven heroine to tender, heartfelt mother and lover.

With more than two decades of work across film and television, Kelly has collaborated with every major network and studio, including HBO, CBS, TNT, The CW, Syfy, Sony Pictures, and Paramount.

A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Kelly received the school's highest honor before making her Broadway debut in The Graduate opposite Kathleen Turner and Jason Biggs.

After taking time to raise her children and earn a degree in psychology, Kelly returns to the industry with a renewed depth of perspective and a passion for emotionally rich, character-driven storytelling.
