Kit Williamson

Biography

Kit is best known as the creator, director, and star of the Emmy-nominated series EASTSIDERS, currently streaming on Netflix. Aside from his starring role as Cal on “Eastsiders,” Kit played the recurring character of copywriter Ed Gifford in the final two seasons of “Mad Men.” He has appeared in numerous other TV and film projects, including "The Good Wife," "Public Morals," and “Odd Mom Out."

 

In terms of development, Kit just finished writing the feature adaptation of Lev Rosen’s novel CAMP for HBOMax with Academy Award winner Dan Jinks producing (AMERICAN BEAUTY, MILK), with Billy Porter attached to direct and star, and most recently sold his drama pilot CATHEDRAL CITY to UTV with Martin Gero's Quinn's House banner attached. Kit was also hired to re-write Screengems EASY A sequel, B REAL, and is developing a UNT. DRAG FEATURE at Netflix with Kenny Ortega. Kit is most recently seen in his series, UNCONVENTIONAL, which was selected for the 2017 Sundance New Voices Lab with Kit as the Creator, Star, and Director. UNCONVENTIONAL recently premiered its first three episodes at the 2022 OUTFEST. Kit is in the process of penning a YA novel called SOUTHERN DECADENCE, set in New Orleans. Currently, Kit is directing the feature CTRL ALT DEL.
