Rahel Romahn is the eleventh recipient of the prestigious Heath Ledger Scholarship. While Rahel is likely best known for his work in Apple TV series SHANTARAM with Charlie Hunnam, he is incredibly multifaceted across the film, television, and theatre space. He can currently be seen in theatres in George Miller’s FURIOUSA: A MAD MAX SAGA. Upcoming credits include the feature film WIZARDS! alongside Pete Davidson for A24 and Plan B Entertainment, the feature film THE SURFER opposite Nicolas Cage, the feature film THE CORRESPONDENT for director Kriv Stenders, and a leading role on 9Network’s series HUMAN ERROR.
On the theatre side, Rahel completed a starring stage role as “Mozart” in AMADEUS at the Sydney Opera House opposite Michael Sheen this past year.
Other television credits include MR INBETWEEN (dir. Nash Edgerton), SECRET CITY S2 (dir. Tony Krawitz/Daniel Nettheim), and his breakout role in THE PRINCIPAL (dir. by Kriv Stenders). Film credits include STREETS OF COLOUR directed by Ronnie S. Riskalla, HERE OUT WEST which opened the 2021 Sydney Film Festival, LITTLE MONSTERS & DOWN UNDER directed by Abe Forsythe, and ALI’S WEDDING directed by Jeffrey Walker.
