Stefanie Scott is an actor, writer, and singer nurturing an impressive body of work that encompasses both film and television. Recently, she starred as the lead in the Peacock original series GIRL IN THE WOODS directed by Krysten Ritter as well as ABC’s hit show ALASKA DAILY starring Hilary Swank.
Although, Stef is probably best known from Focus Features’ and Blumhouse Productions' INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3. She completed all of her own stunts in the film, which grossed over $121 million worldwide. Additionally, Stef has a major cult following from starring in pop and queer icon Hayley Kiyoko’s music video for “Girls Like Girls” which has 155 million views and climbing. Most recently, Stef adapted the viral song into a feature film that’s greenlit at Focus Features and will be produced by Marc Platt Productions and Imagine Entertainment.
Stef also starred in AT FIRST LIGHT by writer-director Jason Stone which made its premiere at SXSW, BEAUTIFUL BOY alongside Timothée Chalamet, SMALL TOWN CRIME opposite Octavia Spencer and John Hawkes, MARY opposite Gary Oldman and Emily Mortimer, Warner Bros.’ comedy GOOD GIRLS GET HIGH, and indie film SPARE ROOM. She has gained significant attention from her starring performance in Lifetime film GIRL IN THE BASEMENT directed by Elisabeth Rohm, which went viral on TikTok, and the period occult horror independent feature THE LAST THING MARY SAW.
Previous notable projects include a leading role in Universal’s JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS, directed by Jon Chu, portraying Pierce Brosnan’s daughter in Voltage Pictures’ indie-revenge thriller I.T., a starring role opposite Anna Camp and Sam Page in the independent thriller CAUGHT, and lending her voice to the Oscar-nominated animated feature film WRECK-IT RALPH.
Stef can currently be heard starring in the coming-of-age audio drama ACADEMY, from Wondery and At Will Media on Amazon Music and Wondery+ which launched last summer.
